Treasury Department

The Treasury's responsibility is to handle municipal finances (Property rates, levies and tariffs).

The department promotes comparability, reliability and transparency of local government finances and this contribute to accountability, efficiency, and service excellence.

Treasury department identifies, measures and communicates economic information and provide financial information to permit informed judgments for decision making purposes. The Department is also concerned with providing information that is relevant, accurate and reliable to people within the organization to help management make better strategic decisions and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of existing operations.
